Continuing with our customer travel postings, here is a one from a customer in Pennsylvania sharing her food allergy story and observations traveling to Paris with family.
"I just wanted to write to tell you about our trip to Paris! First of all, we had a wonderful time and I can't tell you how much the Selectwisely food allergy cards contributed to the success and enjoyment of this trip! We presented the card to our waiter and our son’s food allergies to nuts, peanuts and lupins were taken very seriously. We were assisted with our menu choices by the restaurant waitstaff and were comfortable with how everything was handled. We even met a restaurant owner who also had food allergies so there was a mutual understanding of our challenge.
I recommend staying away from fast food places such as the kind we have the United States. This was too big a risk. We only went to restaurants where the foods and food oils could be verified by a chef. We also were advised against eating at two Italian restaurants by the hotel staff who told us they used lupin flour and peanut oil. Otherwise we traveled allergy worry-free sightseeing and eating in the one of the great cities in the world. Thank you."
